Stanislaus Regional 9-1-1 is a consolidated center consisting of seven law enforcement agencies and fifteen fire agencies through a Joint Powers Authority established under California Law. Stanislaus Regional 9-1-1 provides service to over 400,000 citizens, as forty-five tele-communicators process over 500,000 calls for service each year. SR 9-1-1 has sixty-two staff; eight managers, forty-five dispatch staff, and seven technical and two administrative support personnel. Alan McFadon coordinates the training for all levels within the organization and often works in operations to maintain his own skills as a dispatcher.
Alan McFadon has been a public safety dispatcher for 17 years. After 4 years of service at Santa Clara County Communications in California, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Persian Gulf War. Alan then returned to dispatching and became a Communications Training Officer for Stanislaus Regional 911 (CA), where he currently serves as the Training Coordinator. He is a graduate of the Master Instructor Development Program for the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), and is earning his bachelor's degree in business administration and communications. He is a nationally published author and former Fire Chief of the Burbank-Paradise Fire District in Modesto, CA. Click Here to email Alan for course dates and information.
