Academy Challenge Physical Fitness Preparation - June 23-July 23, 2009
- 6PM-8PM
$150 Public - $125 City/County/Law Enforcement/Fire Personnel
Who should attend: Anyone who is interested in improving their physical condition. This course is recommended for anyone who plans to attend a law enforcement or fire academy. However, you do not need to plan to attend an academy to attend this course. Perhaps, you just want to know what public safety fitness training is all about.
Course Information: This course is instructed by certified law enforcement instructors who specialize in training cadets. They will motivate you to complete the workouts the in the same manner they motivate cadets. This workshop has an emphasis on lifetime fitness, as well as, the strength and agility skills necessary to complete a law enforcement or fire academy. Students will be exposed to rigorous workout sessions similar to that is the police academy. Exercises will include cardio vascular training, strength training, core fitness as well as team building exercises.

Careers in Public Safety/Life as a Law Enforcement Officer
A one evening workshop that chronicles the steps a career in law enforcement will go through starting from the academy, the field training program and going thru specialty assignments.
Self-defense for Adults
A multiple evening course that focuses on personal safety concerns and realistic methods for dealing with confrontations. Separate sessions for women and children.
Self Defense for Kids (Ages: 5-12 years) $30.00
Self-Defense for Kids teaches children how to avoid and respond to a dangerous situation. Children learn to fight back with their personal body as a weapon to target vulnerable spots on an attacker. A child may not be able to overpower an adult, but they will learn how to respond to a potentially dangerous situation as quickly as possible before it escalates.

Kids Fitness Camp (Ages: 5-12 years) $90.00
Kids Fitness Camp is a dynamic way to keep your children active. The goal of our program is to promote fun, fitness, and nutrition through games and play. With lessons on exercise, sportsmanship, and eating right, your child will learn what a healthy lifestyle is all about and why it’s important. Your kids will not even think of it as exercise.

A one evening workshop that gives an overview of current on-line forums, chat rooms, wireless tips, hacking and children and the internet.
Identity Theft
A one evening workshop designed to help prevent identity theft and the steps to take if you become a victim.
Physical Fitness
A one evening workshop with an emphasis on lifetime fitness, as well as, the strength and agility skills necessary to complete the law enforcement physical agility course.
Defensive Tactics
A multiple evening course designed to assist public safety, EMS, fire, and medical personnel in dealing with difficult or combative individuals.
Leadership
A multiple evening course geared toward public safety line staff who are looking for ways to refine their leadership skills and take advantage of career advancement opportunities.
Academy Physical Fitness Preparation
This four-hour workshop has an emphasis on lifetime fitness, as well as, the strength and agility skills necessary to complete a law enforcement physical agility course. Students will complete a body composition analysis and leave with a personal fitness strategy. Using proper technique, participants will also practice the state mandated work sample test battery (WSTB).
Life in a Law Enforcement Academy
A one evening workshop designed to give anyone considering applying for a law enforcement academy, a realistic overview of what to expect when enrolled in a law enforcement academy. Topics include; academy philosophy, day to day operations, program overview, schedule structure, and common recruit pitfalls.
