Academic Instructor Certificate Course (AICC) 

32 Hours

This course provides essential and required instructional and facilitation skills for anyone teaching in a POST RBC law enforcement academy. Students will learn through hands-on experience in a
highly active learning environment. Included is a comprehensive study of contemporary adult learning methodologies, critical thinking, taxonomies of learning, instructional system design and presentation skills.

Basic Shotgun Course 

Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe and proper use of a shotgun in shooting a moving target.

Field Training Officer 

40 Hours 

This course is designated to prepare peace officers for the role of the Field Training Officer (FTO). Course topics will address training related topics such as learning modalities, vicarious liability, daily observations reports, role of the FTO and the goals of an FTO program. A mixture of lecture, role-playing and written exam will be used to evaluate participants. Backfill approved.

Field Training Officer Update

24 Hours 

This course is designated to provide updated training for active FTO personnel or those reassigned to serve as an FTO. To review POST FTO course goals and objectives, including the development of a new FTO's ability to provide training and coaching while integrating trainees into the mission, goals and operation of the agency. A mixture of lecture, role-playing and written exam will be used to evaluate participants. 

Firearms/Tactical Rifle School 

36 Hours

This course will provide students with the basic skills and knowledge necessary to safely and tactically deploy an M-16/AR-15 style patrol rifle in the field.

 

Grant Management Training (Grant Writing USA)

The Stanislaus County Sheriffโ€™s Office is proud to host a two-day Grant Management Training workshop presented by Grant Management USA. This in-person course is designed for professionals responsible for managing government grants and ensuring full compliance with current regulations.
