Course Description
The D&L Public Information Officer (PIO) Training Program is designed to provide first responders with the knowledge and skills necessary to support effective decision-making by delivering the right message, to the right people, at the right time.
This POST-Certified course is instructed by broadcast journalist and media relations professional Lou Desmond, who brings more than 30 years of public relations experience and has worked extensively with law enforcement, fire service, and emergency response organizations.
